F.A.R.E

Picture
FARE is a grassroots charity operating in Easterhouse, in Glasgow. It was established in 1989 by local people in response to the lack of support and opportunities in the community, especially for families and young people. It improves life in neighbourhood by offering activities that improve people’s aspirations, enhance people’s standards of living, and tackle territorialism and related violence. We use clubs, sport and art activities, family support groups, holidays and adult mentors to engage with children, young people and adults.

Camglen Fair Trade Forum

Picture
Camglen Fair Trade Forum is a grassroots campaign operating in Cambuslang and Rutherglen. It was established in 2007 by local people with the vision of responding to global inequality through promotion of fairly traded products. We work in partnership with interested individuals, groups, schools, businesses,  and organisations to help Rutherglen and Cambuslang become two of the best Fairtrade Towns in Scotland.

Cambuslang and Rutherglen Reachout Trust

Picture
The Trust's interdenominational work is focused on serving the young people of the area, by bringing to them the good news about Jesus. It works in partnership with Scripture Union Scotland. Over the last decade or more, it has employed a number of associate workers who have principally served in the local primary and secondary schools by assisting with assemblies, small groups, outings and generally being available to the school community.
